Accounting and Tax Support Centers -NAF-

The Accounting and Fiscal Support Centers -NAF is an initiative that was born in 2011 in the Federal Recital of Brazil, the purpose is to encourage university students, specifically those in the accounting area, to contribute to the communities by disseminating their knowledge.

NAF has two main functions. The first consists of the student acquiring the necessary knowledge in the tax area with the support of the Tax Administration, the second the participant disseminates the knowledge in the communities free of charge to low-income taxpayers or people who wish to formalize their businesses.

With the implementation of this project in universities, it is expected:

a) strengthen the tax culture in economic sciences students;
b) promote voluntary compliance by low-income taxpayers and the formalization of companies; and
c) establish the participating universities as a practice center, supporting the training of their students and the orientation of the target groups.

The Superintendency of Tax Administration carried out the NAF Program in coordination with the Universidad Panamericana -UPANA- in 2018, using a B-Learning training and learning methodology, which combines virtual classrooms and face-to-face conferences, with a duration of 120 hours , training and ensuring that students acquire an experience close to the tax reality in our country.

As an important part of the NAF, a field practice was considered, carried out at the San Antonio Training Center of the Carlos F. Novella Foundation aimed at entrepreneurs, where the university students tested their knowledge. Finally, upon passing the course with a minimum grade of 70 points, a diploma was awarded as proof of having completed the NAF Program, which is signed by the UPANA and SAT authorities.
